Bio

Meet Roxy. Roxy was 52 before she understood she couldn’t live without yoga. Yet, after being “prescribed” yoga by a neurologist, Roxy first laughed. As a runner, she was surprised when she left that initial class out of breath, but also in love with the practice. Yoga reconnected her body and mind, taught her to breathe while doing hard things, and eased the emotional pain of life’s rocky roads. This final gift was her impetus for becoming an instructor. Roxy hopes each class offers similar gifts to her students. Roxy has shared her love of yoga with her other love; her children and grandchildren. They are amazed that she can hold planks and do a full wheel pose. For Roxy, this is just another reason she practices yoga: it keeps her young at heart. When she isn’t teaching yoga you will find her writing (her third love) or doing the activities that yoga allows her to continue to enjoy: camping, hiking, skiing, riding her motorcycle, or anything in the out of doors where she can feel the wind. Roxy believes that everyone should practice yoga. Yet, she understands each yogi’s practice is individual. Her goal while teaching is that students leave practice knowing their day will be better because of authentic movement with intentional breath. Better because of Yoga.
